Diffusion of the Amish Culture
The Amish culture expanded through relocation diffusion. In the 17th century they migrated to Northwestern Europe to live a way of life free from threats to their preferred culture. They further migrated west to America having discovered the low cost of land in the Pennsylvania region. Today the Amish culture diffuses throughout the United States and the Amish people continue to look for the low cost of land.
